An Active Listening Exercise

PRINT and use the Active Listening Guide below to slow down conversations and truly understand one another's perspective. One person has the floor and is the Speaker, following the guidelines we mentioned before: (1) make sure it's a good time, (2) focus on your own perspective and what you need, and (3) keep it limited to one topic or situation.

Whoever has something to bring up is the Speaker, and the other person is automatically the Listener. The guide below is for the Listener to use throughout the conversation.
